Lloyd Kurtzman

KURTZMAN, Lloyd Dean, 82, of Moundsville, WV, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.

Lloyd was born February 26, 1931, in Clarington, Ohio the son of the late Ray and Juanita Stackhouse Kurtzman.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, member of Simpson United Methodist Church, a member of the Masonic Lodge #597 of Clarington, Ohio, member of the Moundsville VFW Lodge #437, a member of the American Legion Post #3 of Moundsville, a retired self-employed carpenter who enjoyed his work tremendously, and an avid Pittsburgh Steeler Fan, wonderful husband and father who cherished his pets.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Shilling; and brother, Dale Kurtzman.

Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Patricia Ravencraft Kurtzman, of Moundsville; two daughters, Mindi (John Rocko) Croce of Clarington, Ohio and Terri (Kenneth) McGuire of Powhatan, Ohio; step-daughter, Georgann (Howard) Wayne of Moundsville; four sisters, Mona Oiler of Clarington, Lila (Donald) Jones of Hannibal, Ohio, Ruth (Earl) Billiter of Sardis, Ohio and Sandra Sweeney of Clarington; five grandchildren, Brandon McGuire of Bellaire, Ohio, Collin McGuire of Powhatan, Mady Dziorney of Moundsville, Jayden Loretta of Bellaire and Sophia Wayne of Moundsville; one great- grandchild, Terianna McGuire of Powhatan.

Friends will be received Friday, April 19, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, April 20, 2013 from noon until the time of service at 2 p.m. at CARE Funeral & Cremation Service, 1500 Second St., Moundsville, WV with Mike Eskridge officiating.

A memorial dinner will be held at Simpson United Methodist Church after the service.

Interment will follow at Powhatan Cemetery, Powhatan Point, Ohio with Military Graveside honors.
