Mary Clark

CLARK, Mary “Evelyn” Reid, passed away Friday, April 5, 2013 in Cameron Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

She recently celebrated her 100th birthday and was presented a key to the city of Cameron.

Daughter of the late Frank and Virginia Francis Bonar Reid.

She was a member of the Big Run Christian Church where she played piano and organ for many years.

She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, belonging to Naomi Chapter No. 12, Grafton, Lorraine Chapter No. 9, Cameron and Moundsville Chapter No. 86. She was a past Grand Organist of the Grand Lodge Eastern Star of W.Va.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Hubert Clark; one sister, Hazel Courtright; tow brothers, James P. Reid and Lloyd Reid.

Everyone who knew and loved her referred to her as Aunt Evelyn. She was a second mother to her nieces and nephews who dearly loved her.

Her favorite past times were cooking, sewing, gardening and playing the piano. Nothing could compare to her cookies, pies and rolls; and she grew the most beautiful garden in the neighborhood.

Aunt Evelyn, you’ve taught us all so much we love you, and are so grateful, God gave us such “A wonderful Aunt Evelyn.”

Her nieces and nephews would like to thank Cameron Nursing & Rehab for their kindness, love and compassion over the past nine years, and a big thank you to Wilda Weyricks and Twyla Mathews for always making her beautiful.

Family will receive friends Sunday, April 7, 2013 from 4 p.m. until time of Services at 6 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 39 Maple Ave., Cameron, WV. Officiating will be Pastor Doug Richardson.

Interment immediately following to Big Run Christian Church Cemetery.
