Together Again

MINNITE, Mary V. (Spino), 91, of Paden City, WV, died peacefully on April 9, 2013, surrounded by her family.

She was reunited with her beloved husband, Frank Minnite, who passed away in November of 2012. They were married for 67 years and they were the ultimate love story.

She was born on May 20, 1921, in Meadowbrook, WV the daughter of the late John and Constance (Manchin) Spino.

She was an active member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Sistersville, The Holy Rosary Altar Guild, and the Ormet Retirees Club. She was well known for the Spaghetti Dinners she organized at the Ormet Retirees Club for well over 20 years.

She retired from Marble King in Paden City where she worked for 25 years.

She was a devoted wife and mother. The greatest joys of her life were her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She loved to cook and bake and spoil all those that she loved. Everyone who came to her home felt her warmth and hospitality and didn’t leave without eating or taking home a care package.

She is survived by her daughters, Rose Marie (Larry) Young of Sistersville and Connie (David) Koon of New Martinsville; grandchildren, Stacey (Mark) Kasun, Kristina (Bryan) DeLisio, Matthew (Charissa) Koon, Adam Koon, Nicholas Koon; great-grandchildren, Gianna and Rocco DeLisio, and Brody Kasun and baby Frankie Koon due in August. She is also survived by her in-laws, Joe (Rose Marie) Minnite and Shirley VanGilder of Clarksburg and Pat (Judy) Minnite of Vienna, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Fannie Pisano, Rose Marra, Carrie Goots, Josephine Vasquez, Angelina Marra; and brothers, William Spino, John Spino, and Anthony Spino; and sister-in laws Katherine Minnite and Teresa Goots.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Sistersville with Father Jim McCafferty officiating.

Visitation will be held at Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville, on Friday, April 12 from 1-8 p.m. with rosary devotions at 7 p.m. and wake service to follow.

Interment will be in Paden Memorial Gardens, Paden City, WV.
