Mildred Butts

BUTTS, Mildred “Jane” M., 96, lifelong resident of McMechen, W.Va., and Wheeling (Elm Terrace) W.Va., died Saturday, April 13, 2013 in Autumn Health Care Center in Coshocton, Ohio.

She was born November 30, 1916, in Wheeling, W.Va., a daughter to the late George and Mary Joseph (Pearl) Warsinsky. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Benwood, W.Va. She was also a member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the American Legion Post 46 Auxiliary in Benwood, W.Va.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William W. Butts; two brothers, George and Clyde Warsinsky; and three sisters, Mickey Boury, Betty Ruble, and Hilda Davies.

She is survived by one son, John “Fred” (Dawn) Butts, of Coshocton, Ohio; two granddaughters, Khisha Jane (Paul) Fallon of Columbus, Ohio, and Kari Ruth (Eric) Frega of Lawrenceville, Georgia; three great-grandchildren, Eric Frega Jr., Ruth Frega, and Grace Frega, all of Lawrenceville, Georgia; one brother-in-law, Wesley Butts of McMechen, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Friday, April 19, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Benwood-McMechen Chapel, 214 Marshall St., McMechen. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
