KINDER, Curtis Clark, 65, of St. Joe, Bellaire, Ohio, died Monday, April 29, 2013 at the Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, West Virginia.
He was born January 2, 1948 in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of the late Thomas and Ethel Clark Kinder.
Curt was a retired employee of the Wheeling- Pittsburgh Steel Corporation’s Martins Ferry mill; a member of the Bellaire Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, American Legion Post 77, Neffs, Ohio, Neffs Rod and Gun Club and the Bellaire Touchdown Club and a U.S. Army veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Roger Kinder; and two sisters, Sheree Kinder and Mona Hudson.
Surviving are his wife, Sharon L. Hollingshead Kinder; two children, Kimberly (Jeff) Hart of Shadyside, Ohio and Dustin Kinder of Bellaire, Ohio; one brother, Harold “Babe” (Connie) Kinder of Circleville, Ohio; two sisters, Lila (Skip) Brubaker of Powhatan Point, Ohio and Judy (Ted) Ofat of Bellaire, Ohio; and sister-in-law, Sue Kinder of Bellaire, Ohio. Also two grandchildren, Katelyn Hart and Braylon Kinder, several nieces and nephews and his pet beagle, Olivia.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory, 441 37th Street, Bellaire, Ohio, on Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. where services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. with Pastor Jerry Garloch officiating. Interment in the Belmont County Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Clairsville, Ohio.
The Belmont County Council of the American Legion will conduct full military honors on Friday at 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
