David Scott

SCOTT, David Michael, Jr., of Stone Church Road, Wheeling died on Friday, May 17, 2013 in the Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling.

He was born July 22, 1991 in Wheeling and was a 2009 high school graduate of Wheeling Park High School, Wheeling.

David was a coal miner with Consol, BMX Mine. He loved spending time with his wife, Amanda, his two children, Jacob and Jenna Scott, his family and his friends. He also loved four wheeling, fishing, bonfires and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Frank Scott.

In addition to his wife and children, he was survived by his father, David Michael Scott, Sr., and his fiancee, Shelly Cork, of Valley Grove, WV; his mother, Suzanne Zane and her husband, Sam, of Wheeling; a sister, Ashlee Scott, and her fiance, Freddie Knicely; his father-in-law, Frank Beck, and his wife, Jenn; his mother-in-law, Holly Flack, and her husband, Walt; his step-sisters and step-brothers, Kelsi, Whitney and Bryar, and Rachael, Buzz and Luke; his sisters-in-law, Nova Shelby and Madison; his paternal grandmother, Nancy “Nanny” Scott; his maternal grandfather, Lou Modar, and his wife, Betzie; his maternal grandmother, JoAnn Andlinger; several cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and a host of friends including his best friends, Bryan Stricklin, Justin Bremer and Jordan McLendoa.

Friends will be received on Monday, May 20, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. and on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 from noon until time of service at 5 p.m. at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling with the Reverend Debbie Dague officiating.

The family would like to invite everyone to the Dallas Presbyterian Church in Dallas, WV after the funeral service on Tuesday for a meal .
