FRANKLIN, Harold “Richard,” 80, of Moundsville, WV, died Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at home.
He was born January 22, 1933 in Marshall County, WV, a son of Erma Staub Franklin of Cameron and the late C.R. “Bob” Franklin.
Mr. Franklin was a retired fireman with the City of Moundsville and a Christian by faith. He was a well-known brick, block and stone mason, and loved the outdoors.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by four children, Jim (Jodi) Franklin of Moundsville, Chris Franklin of Adena, OH, Jane (Ron) Crum of Moundsville, and Dan (Sue) Franklin of Moundsville; two brothers, Charles (Mary) Franklin of Cameron and Raymond (Carolyn) Franklin of Moundsville; five grandchildren, Ashley (Scott) Vankirk of Virginia, Caitlin (Noah) Skiba of Wheeling, Mariana Maidens, Zac Crum and Danny Franklin, all of Moundsville; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby- Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2013 with Rev. Ray Klages officiating.
Entombment in Halcyon Hills Mausoleum, Sherrard, WV.
