GORDON, Paul Edward Sr., age 80, of Woodsfield, Ohio, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Bellaire Hospital Bellaire, Ohio.
He was born in Wheeling, West Virginia June 16, 1933, a son of the late Harry and Marie Clieves Gordon.
The Happiest day of Paul’s life was when he passed away and met his Lord face to face.
Paul left behind a loving wife and children who mourn his leaving but are rejoicing for him.
Paul was a member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church of Woodsfield and a retired employee of Ormet Corporation.
Preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Ann Gordon; five brothers; and one sister.
He is survived by his wife, Mary T. (Terri) Gordon of Woodsfield; sons, Paul Jr. (Cindy), Tim, Matthew (Angela) and Steve (Tammey) Gordon all of Woodsfield; daughters, Margaret (Peggy) (Wayne) Devereux of Lushy, Maryland, and Kathleen (Howard) Thomas of Woodsfield; brothers, Jim (Miriam) Gordon of Columbus, Indiana, John (Linda) Gordon of Glenn Dale, West Virginia, Walter (Ruth) Gordon of St. Mary’s, Georgia, and Tom (Barbara) Gordon of Woodsfield; sister, Margaret (Suzie) Griffith of Dalton, Georgia; several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Friends received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul St., Woodsfield, Ohio.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at the St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield, Ohio with Fr. Walter Heinz Officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Vigil Services 3:45 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
