Ronald Burnside

BURNSIDE, Ronald Eugene, age 81, of New Martinsville, WV departed this life on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 in Wheeling Hospital Medical Park, Wheeling, WV, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born September 2, 1931 in Wellsburg, WV, the son of the late Everett C. and Mae Marie Fulton Burnside.

Ron spent 20 years with the U.S. Army, having retired in 1968; then retired from Bayer Chemical Corporation of New Martinsville with 23 years of service; was a member of First Church of God of New Martinsville, having accepted Jesus as his Savior on November 6, 2002; and was a member of the Sistersville VFW.

Ron can be remembered for his love for family and always being willing to share a hug with family and friends; also for the many bowls of popcorn he popped for them.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Francis, Frank, Irvin, and Leo Burnside; and a sister, Thelma Williams.
