CUSICK, William F. “Fred,” 85, of Moundsville, WV passed away June 14, 2013.
He was born November 13, 1927, in Berlin, PA to the late Walter and Myrtle Queer Cusick.
He worked in maintenance at Huffman-Koos and he was a member of the Cornerstone Church of God, New Jersey American Legion Post 3, and a proud Army Veteran serving the Korean War where he received special commendation from the president of North Korea for saving a little girls life.
In addition to his parents he was preceded by his wife Stella Burns Cusick, two sisters Laverne Slavik and Doris Perna.
He is survived by his three sons, Fred Cusick and his wife Cynthia of Moundsville, WV, James Cusick of Wheeling, WV, and Randy Cusick of Benwood, WV; a sister, Katherine VanCamp of Wellsburg, WV, and a special caregiver Kathleen Lorentz of Benwood WV; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren also survive.
Visitation will be Monday, June 17, 2013, from 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Reasner Funeral Home, 1515 Charles St., Wellsburg, WV.
Service will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Ron Wilfong officiating.
Interment will follow at Independence Cemetery, Independence, PA, with Full Military Graveside Rites by The Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
