FLORJANCZYK, Edward J. “Bud,” 92, of Wheeling, W.Va., died Friday, June 28, 2013 at Country Club Retirement Home.
He was born September 15, 1920, a son of the late Frank and Frances (Szyszkowski) Florjanczyk. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Wheeling, and the American Legion Post 46 in Benwood, W.Va. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy who served in WWII.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Sprouse.
He is survived by one brother, Paul (Arlene) Florjanczyk of Mozart; two nieces, Barbara (Nick) Renzella of Wheeling, and Fran (Ricardo) Franz; five nephews, Charles (Leslie) Florjanczyk of Wheeling, Robert (Peggy) Sprouse of Ohio, Kevin (Brigitta) Sprouse, Paul (Lee Ann) Sprouse, and Brian Sprouse; one grandnephew, Aleksandr; one grandniece, Callie; and special friend, Shirley Siebieda.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 5, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Wheeling, with Rev. Francis A. O’Kruta as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
