Eleanor Lewis

LEWIS, Eleanor Marie Montelone Whiteman, 84, of Warwood, Wheeling, died on Sunday, August 11, 2013, in Heartland-Lansing Nursing Home, Bridgeport, OH.

She was born July 22, 1929, in Lafferty, OH, the daughter of the late Anthony and Rose Marie Petno Montelone.

Mrs. Lewis was a retired private duty nurse’s aide; and a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Wheeling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Whiteman, III in 1974; her second husband, Oscar Lewis, Jr., in 2011 and four brothers.

Surviving are two daughters, Deborah Lee Miller and her husband, Donald Miller of North Carolina and Dara Lynn Whiteman of Wheeling; a son, Dean Walter Whiteman of Warwood; two sisters, Margaret Baranowski and Sincorsa Vavrock both of Warwood; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at the Kepner Funeral Home, 900 National Road, Wheeling, WV, where services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. with Amedisys Chaplin, Ted Boggs officiating.

Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
