BEAVER, Gertrude Marrietta Noland, 87, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2013, in Peterson Hospital.
She was born on April 2, 1926, in Mingo Junction, Ohio, daughter of the late James Noland and Mildred Ritchie Bishop.
Mrs. Beaver was a retired thrift store assistant manager for the Salvation Army in Wheeling, served with the Salvation Army Home League and was a Sunbeam leader.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Junior Beaver, in 1999; one son, Richard D; two grandchildren, Mark Ward and Yvonne Carol Beaver; and three brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are three sons: Edward “Skip” Beaver and his wife Sharon, Ralph J. Beaver and his wife Debbie and Dale E. Beaver and his wife Pam, all of Wheeling, WV; a daughter, Edna Dyke and her husband Herbert of Chillicothe, Ohio; two sisters, Anna Mae Rhodes of Wheeling and Emma Church of McClure, PA. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Kepner Funeral Home, 3545 Jacob St., South Wheeling, where services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m.
Interment in Halcyon Hills Memorial Park, Sherrard, WV.
