BURDYN, Rosemary, 65, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at her home.
She was born August 8, 1948, in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of Philomena A. Stefan Burdyn of St. Clairsville and the late Joseph A. Burdyn.
Rosemary was an addiction counselor for alcohol and drug abuse at Crossroads in St. Clairsville and formerly at Shawnee Hills Mental Health Center in Charleston, WV, a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Clairsville, and was known to be a happy traveler.
In addition to father, she was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph and John Burdyn.
Surviving in addition to her mother are two sons, Josef and Jeremiah Burdyn of the home; sisters, Karie (Ralph) Urban of Canal Winchester, Ohio, and Elizabeth Burdyn of Mt. Pleasant; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, great-nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Clairsville with Father Michael Gossett the celebrant.
A private committal will be held at Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
