Linda Winter

WINTER, Linda Sue Wayt, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Holly Hill, West Columbus, on September 2, 2013.

She was born in Wheeling, WV, on January 14, 1943. She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry E. Wayt Jr., and Retha Bennett Wayt; and a step-daughter, Christine Winter.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald L. Winter; brother, Douglas (Susanna) Wayt; step-son, Richard (Barbara) Winter, seven step-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.

Linda was a Triadelphia High School graduate, class of 1960. She was devoted to her family and friends, home and pop music. She was an accomplished homemaker, pianist and seamstress.

Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH, on September 5, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m. with Funeral Service beginning at 7 p.m. Graveside Service will be held Friday, September 6, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. at Hillside Memorial Park, Akron, OH.
