Paul Templin

TEMPLIN. Paul Richard, Sr., 68, of Triadelphia, WV, died on Monday, September 23, 2013, at home.

He was born March 31, 1945, in Wheeling, WV, the son of the late Frederick and Goldie Stewart Templin.

Paul was high school graduate of the former McKinley High School in Wheeling, WV and a Protestant by faith. He retired from Valley Camp Coal Company Mine 3 after 17.5 years, and retired as owner/operator of Bulk Milk Hauler after 36 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his best friend, Ed McGrath.

Surviving are his loving wife of 48 years, Carol Clark Templin; two sons, Jeffery at home and Paul Richard, Jr and his wife, Maria of Rushville, OH; a granddaughter, Brooke Templin and a grandson, Tyler Templin both of Rushville, OH; a brother and sister; three aunts, Helen Boeshansc and Clara Dixon of Columbus, OH and Virginia Georgi of Paramount, CA; several cousins who meant so much to him; his god daughters, Lindsey Bise, Haylie Hunter and Payton Hunter all of Triadelphia, WV; his godsons, Noah Crow and Bobbie Crow, III both of Triadelphia, WV and so many young people have called our house, home, and they were like our own children, Terry Lewis, Kenneth and Linda Craig, Mary McGrath Stone, Dallas and Aggie Hall, Bob and Patsy Crow, Brad Stewart, Bill Lipscomb, Stacie and John Hunter, Michelle and Bill Heath and his special cousin and mechanic, Gary and Nancy Stewart Hoskinson.

He was a member of the Wheeling Reelers and the Ohio Valley Promenaders. He loved to travel, but best of all, he loved to talk. He never met a stranger. He loved trains, but most of all he loved his wife.

To all of our good friends and neighbors, THANK YOU for everything. You are our family.

Friends will be received on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St, Wheeling, WV (304-242- 2311) where services will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Dennis Arnold officiating.

Interment in West Alexander Cemetery, West Alexander, PA.
