GREEN, David Andrew., 32, of Benwood, WV died Saturday, October 19, 2013 at home.
David was born in Glen Dale on December 29, 1980.
He was a 1999 graduate of Bishop Donahue High School where he played football, baseball and wrestled. David was employed at CSX Railroad, where he was a conductor, a Catholic by faith, a member of the American Legion of Benwood Post # 46, a member of the Grim Reapers, member of the Benwood Volunteer Fire Department and their Search and Rescue Team, Private Contractor in Iraq for two years, worked as an EMT( Emergency Room Tech.) at OVMC and was a U.S Marine Operation Enduring Freedom Veteran. He loved his two dogs, Harley and Dyna, was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan, loved motorcycles, hunting and spending time with his three nieces.
David was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mary and Felix Green; maternal grandparents, Clarence “Iron Head” and Nancy Butts; Uncle, Robert Green and Aunt, Debbie Green.
He is survived by his father, Greg Green and friend Cathy Bartlett of Benwood; mother, Karen Green and fiancee, Bill McLane of Bellaire, Ohio; sister, Lorrie (Paul) Spigarelli of Bellaire; brother, Greg (Kimberli) Green of Shadyside, Ohio; three nieces, Grace, Greta and Gabrielle; special friend, Megan Simpson of Martin’s Ferry, Ohio; several aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends and his two dogs, Harley and Dyna.
Friends will be received at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes and Kirby Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville Tuesday, October 22, 2013 from noon until 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at noon with the Moundsville Honor Guard conducting military services.
