CLOUSTON, Roy P. “Mr. C,” 89, of Shadyside, Ohio, died Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at Wheeling Hospital.
Roy was born April 30, 1924, in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late E. Russell Clouston and Bernice Hixenbaugh Clouston Padden.
He was a 1943 Graduate of Wheeling High School, a 1949 Graduate of West Liberty College.
He formerly taught at Powhatan High School and was a retired history teacher from Shadyside High School.
He was a member of the Shadyside Christian Church Disciples of Christ, Belmont County Teachers Association and the Ohio Teachers Association. He was a WWII army veteran, serving in the South Pacific.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bernice Padden; and step-father, Frank Padden.
Surviving is his wife of 62 years, Dora Lee Kriechbaum Clouston; a son, Roy E. (Rosanne) Clouston of Shadyside, OH; and a daughter, Verdina Clouston of Galena, OH; three grandchildren, Ryan Clouston of Buchannon, WV, Raymond (Hydee) Clouston of Wheeling, WV and Rowan Clouston of Shadyside, OH.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3900 Central Avenue, Shadyside, OH, Thursday from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m Friday with Pastor Eric White officiating.
Entombment follows at Holly Memorial Mausoleum, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
