STEWART, Barbara Sue Cornish, 87, of Wheeling, WV, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013 in the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Wheeling.
She was born February 7, 1926 in Rochester, New York the daughter of the late Howard and Hazel Spring Cornish.
Mrs. Stewart was a switchboard operator for Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital and Geriatric Center, Wheeling from 1979-1981; was a Lutheran by faith and she also was a volunteer for the Wheeling Society for Crippled Children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Stewart in 1989 and two brothers, Daniel Cornish and William Sherfese.
Surviving are two sons, Francis H. “Skip” Stewart and his wife, Cathy of Wheeling and Sam H. Stewart and his wife, Brenda of Colerain, OH; a sister, Virginia “Jinnie” Morton of Wheeling; a grandson, Jason Stewart and his wife, Amy of Colerain, OH; two great-grandchildren, Noah Stewart and Raylynn Stewart.
There will be no visitation. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home Chapel, Wheeling on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 2 p.m. with Father John Beckley, S.M officiating.
