RIGGLE, Charles L. “Charlie B.,” 85, of Triadelphia, WV, died Friday, November 15, 2013, at his residence.
He was born on April 2, 1928, in Dallas, WV, the son of the late Thomas L. and Almeda Caldwell Riggle.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran, a member of the Dallas United Methodist Church, a friend to many; a great outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, trap shooting, finding wells for many, but most of all he loved his family. Charlie was formerly employed at the Farmer’s Co-Op at Roney’s Point and retired as parts manager at Middle Creek Garage Triadlephia, WV.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and Frank Riggle; one sister, Shirley Hatfield.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years E. Eileen Black Riggle; three children, Connie Baller and her husband, Jim of Wheeling, WV; Lennie Riggle of Yorkville, Ohio; Becky Riggle of Triadelphia, WV; six grandchildren; Aimee Jones (Tim), Cari Daniels (Dusty), Mary Cox, Jason Riggle (Jessica), Jimmy Baller and Emily Baller; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters; Betty Welch of Dallas, WV and Bonnie Berghoff (Gerald) of West Alexander, Pa; several nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Friends will be received on Monday, November 18, 2013, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St. Elm Grove, (304) 242-2311 where services will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at 1 p.m. with the Reverend Lisa Fox officiating. Interment in Mt. View Cemetery, Dallas, WV.
