ANKROM, Guy Edwin, 98, of New Martinsville, WV, died Sunday, November 10, 2013 at the New Martinsville Care Center.
He was born August 26, 1915 in Middlebourne, WV, the son of the late William and Zona Christman Ankrom.
Guy was a retired auto mechanic at Schupbach’s Valley Motors; a member of Oxford Street Church of Christ in Sistersville, and a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Beegle Ankrom; second wife, Hyla Stewart Ankrom; a son, Edwin Ray Ankrom; three sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruth (Jack) Estep of New Martinsville and Bonnie (Tom) Smith of Clinton, SC; a son, Steve Ankrom of New Martinsville; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, Macy and Kyler Estep; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 751 Third St., New Martinsville, with Evangelist Jerry Toothman officiating.
Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, New Martinsville.
