Robert Kyanko

KYANKO, Robert (Bob) Roderick, died November 15, 2013, in Prescott, AZ.

Surviving Bob are his loving wife, Rhonda Jones Kyanko; his two sons, Rob and Chris; and his three granddaughters, Crystal, Selena and Ana.

Born May 2, 1938, in Barton, OH, to the late Stephen and Elizabeth Kyanko, Bob was the oldest of seven siblings, Ronald (deceased,) Richard, Raymond, Roderick, Rose Marie, Ralph and Reginald.

He served in the Air National Guard, followed by 21 distinguished years in the Secret Service. Bob also created and managed Systems America, a successful computer company, for 15 years. He later obtained a culinary degree driven by his passion for food and drink.

As a father, he was tough and very loving at the same time. He mentored his sons and provided them experience with two different businesses leading each son to develop their own successful business. Bob’s “soft side” came out with his granddaughters, and he visibly glowed in their presence. He also thought of his Yorkies, Finnegan I and II and Running Bear, as people with loving souls.

Bob was a perfectionist in his hobbies, stain glass making, woodworking, jewelry making, culinary skills, landscaping, and photography. He was most passionate about helping people and connecting to the Divine. A compassionate, kind and true gentleman, Bob valued his neighbors and community of Granite Springs in Prescott.

He was a strong patriot, embracing this country’s true values. When he died, he had a copy of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States on his desk.
