POMARANSKI, Friedericke “Frieda,” 86, of Lansing died Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at Park Health Center, St. Clairsville.
She was born January 10, 1927, in Augsburg, Germany, a daughter of the late Fritz Mayer and Caecilia (Mayer) Lahner.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Wolfhurst, and the CWC of the Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Stanley A. Pomaranski in 2002; a son, Stanley “Stush” Pomaranski; and a brother, Rudolph Mayer.
Frieda is survived by her sons, John J. (Nancy) Pomaranski of Woodbridge, Va., Carl R. (Barbara) Pomaranski of Lansing; a daughter, Fritzi (James) Serafin of Alexandria, VA; six grandchildren, John Michael (Kirsti) Pomaranski, Kathleen (Rich) Terry, Thomas, Derek, Devin, and Lucas Pomaranski; two great- grandchildren Ella Rose and Scott Thomas Pomaranski; and a brother, George (Sharon) Lahner of Calf.
Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Friday, December 21, 2013, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wolfhurst, with Fr. John Mucha as celebrant.
Interment at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
