LUCCI, Anthony Paul “Tony,” 94, of Moundsville, WV, died Wednesday, January 8, 2014 in Belmont Community Hospital.
He was born July 9, 1919 in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late Joseph and Angela (Maltese) Lucci.
Tony was a retired Telegraph Operator for the B & O Railroad, a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Moundsville, 50 year member of the American Legion Post #1, Wheeling, Army veteran of WWII, serving in the 99th Infantry Division.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded by his first wife, Dorothy Mae Phillips Lucci; second wife, Ruth W. Koski Lucci; six brothers, Chester, John, Carl, Frank, Sam and Joe Lucci; one sister, Catherine Melnik.
He is survived by two daughters, Sharon Lynn (Ross) Parsons of Bridgeport, OH; Patricia Ann (Larry) Clevenger of Goose Creek, SC; one brother, Louis (Jean) Lucci of Bellaire, OH; a sister, Rose Kirkpatrick of Detroit, MI; sister-in-law, Florence Koski of Moundsville; five grandchildren, Burke (Kelley) Nickerson of Wheeling; Elizabeth Ann (John) Guzek of Glen Dale, WV; Tony (Sarah) Parsons of Wheeling; Larry Clevenger of Goose Creek, SC; Tammy Clevenger of Bartonville, IL; 16 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2014 with Rev. Ranjan Ekka, T.O.R.
Interment with military honors in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville, WV.
