BOWERS, Corinne Elwina Billick, 90, of Wheeling, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2014 in Ohio Valley Medical Center.
She was born in Wheeling, WV, July 10, 1923, daughter of the late George and Martha Robinson Billick.
Mrs. Bowers was a member of the First Christian Church, Wheeling, and was retired from Rite Aid. She was an employee with the former C .H. Griest Company, where she received the highest grade in the final examination of The Cosmetic School of Beauty Fashion. Her interest was in cosmetics and she enjoyed helping people.
Corinne was a member of the 4-H Club, sang in the church choir and enjoyed bowling, swimming and dancing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother; a brother, G. Clare Billick; and a niece Carol Billick Shinnamon.
Surviving are her husband, Roy C. Bowers; a sister-in-law, Sylvia Aldean Billick of Valley Grove; two nephews, Richard E. Billick of Columbus, OH and Kenneth E. Billick and his wife, Pat of Valley Grove; two nieces, Kathie Wineman and her husband, Lonnie of Wheeling and Doris Dunaway and her husband, Chuck of Washington, PA; 13 great-nieces and nephews; and 17 great-great-nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Thursday, January 9, 2014, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling (304-242-2311). Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 10, 2014 at The First Christian Church, 1343 National Road, Wheeling, WV, with the Rev. Kenneth Hardway and the Rev. Dr. Bonnie Thurston co-officiating.
Entombment in Park View Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Wheeling.
