GREEN, Daisy “Dot” Flaherty Scott, 96, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2014, in the Heartland Lansing Nursing Home.
She was born in Wetzel County, WV, on February 3, 1917, daughter of the late, Jason and Clorissa Loudenslager Flaherty.
Mrs. Green was a former waitress for the Dinner Bell Restaurant in Wheeling, and a Christian by faith.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Murle Scott; second husband, Harold Green Sr.; daughter Ruby Marbais; five brothers: James Scott, Charles David, Jasper Ray, Okie Dale and Donald Harold; and six sisters: Dessie Mae Wise, Mary Pearl Anderson, Pansy Ellen Conley, Bessie Marie Iverson, Dolly Louise Flaherty and Dorothy Ruth Flaherty.
Daisy is survived by her children, Ronald (Margo) Scott of Valley Grove, Judy Ann (Michael) Orum of West Alexander, PA, Brenda Kay Overfield of Martins Ferry, OH, Benny Ray (Bobbie Jo) Scott of Bridgeport, OH, and Rick (Theresa) Scott of Rayland, OH. Also surviving is a sister, Lillie Anna Suddoth of Wellsburg, WV, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling, WV, with Pastor Ernie Edgel officiating.
Interment in Stone Church Cemetery.
