Visitation Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, Moundsville.

Interment in Highland Cemetery, Cameron.

BONAR, H. Marlene, 82, of Poplar Ave., Moundsville, died Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg, WV.

She was born September 10, 1931 on Games Ridge in Moundsville, the daughter of the late Durwood and Edna Mary Holmes Rine.

She was a retired manager from the WV State Liquor Store in Cameron and Moundsville; a member and former state president of the American Legion Auxiliary; a member of the Moundsville and Cameron Women’s Club; and attended St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Gib” Bonar; a brother Emory G. Rine; and a sister, Judith Rine.

Survivors include three daughters, Sue (Mike) Dorsey, Cathy (David) Mace all of Parkersburg, Christy (Sheldon) Weese of Wheeling; four sisters, Bea Stevens of Walnut Creek, CA, Betty Turner of Moundsville, Mary Higby, and Peggy Rine both of Cameron; sister-in-law, Sherrie Rine of Winona, MN; dearest friend, Elwood Sloan of Wheeling; seven grandchildren, Sarah (Zenon) Butts, Abbey (Nathan) Blevins, Melanie (Nathan) Carpenter, Mandy (Russ) Philpott, Alex (Leticia) Mace, Emma Weese, Lokelani Weese; 10 great-grandchildren, Cole Butts, Ali Philpott, Alexandra DeShetler, Aiden Philpott, Sammy Gomez, Victoria Vigil, Brandon Vigil, Matthew Vigil, DayDay Mace, MiaBella Mace; numerous nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville, with Rev. Ron McCoy officiating.

Interment in Highland Cemetery, Cameron.
