Visitation Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 1 Ridgecrest Rd., Wheeling/Bethlehem with funeral services Tuesday at 1 p.m.

GARDNER, Robert “Rob,” 83 of Wheeling, WV died Thursday, January 9, 2014, in Bishop Hodges Continuous Care, Wheeling.

Visitation Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 1 Ridgecrest Road, Wheeling/Bethlehem, WV where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m.

GARDNER, Robert “Rob,” 83, of Wheeling, WV, died Thursday, January 09, 2014, in Bishop Hodges Continuous Care, Wheeling.

He was born July 25, 1930, in Sherrard, WV, the son of the late Elmer and Ruth Gump Gardner.

He was a retired employee of Olin Corporation. He enjoyed the outdoors and riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Elmer Gardner.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, M. “Becky” Pleasant Gardner; one son, Robert (Patricia) Gardner of South Carolina; one daughter, Brenda Milbert of Clearwater, FL; one brother, Don Gardner of Sherrard; one sister, Gloria (Kenneth) McGuire of Wheeling; two stepsons, Lee (Penny) Irwin of Bellaire, OH and Jay M. (Gina) Irwin of Auburndale, FL; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews Family will receive friends Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 1 Ridgecrest Road, Wheeling/Bethlehem, WV, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with Carol Tarr officiating.
