GAUGHENBAUGH, Robert Alan., 55, of Moundsville, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at his home.
Robert was born July 15, 1958, in Wheeling, the son of Bertie M. (Liming) Gaughenbaugh of Moundsville, and the late Raymond M. Gaughenbaugh.
Robert graduated from Bishop Donahue High School in 1976, and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Parish, Moundsville. He was an electrician for the I.B.E.W. Local 141, Wheeling, having served as a General Foreman, Foreman, Master Electrician and Journeyman Lineman, before an industrial accident ended his career in 1985. He dealt with medical problems his entire life. His greatest joy in life, was his two children.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Aaron F. and Anna M. Gaughenbaugh, both of Proctor, W.Va.; a brother, Raymond Gaughenbaugh, Jr. and his wife, Sarah of Moundsville; and a sister, Patricia Shock of Wheeling.
There will be no visitation. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with the Rev. Ranjan Ekka as celebrant. Entombment in Riverview Cemetery Mausoleum, Moundsville.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Robert’s children, Aaron and Anna, C/o BB&T Bank, Moundsville, W.Va.
