ANTHONY, Wayne F., Jr., 64, of St. Clairsville, died Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Liza’s Place Valley Hospice South, Wheeling. He was born February 14, 1949, in Martins Ferry, a son of Lucille (LaMotte) Anthony of St. Clairsville and the late Wayne F. Anthony Sr.
He was a retired truck driver for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, a member of Kirkwood United Methodist Church Bridgeport, the United Steel Workers of America, and a veteran of the US Navy.
In addition to his mother Wayne is survived by a uncle Andrew “Chick” LaMotte of Bridgeport, his extended family consist of many cousins Nancy Lupo, Jack Beveridge, Linda Mouhlas, Chuck Wetzel, Barb Kucera, Sharon Heinlein, John Holler, Michele Smith, Bruce Holler, Kelly Cappelletti, Chick, Mike, Mark, and David LaMotte, also Tom and Peggy Baker, Bruce and Sheila Smith, and his many fellow trucker buddies from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel.
Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside on Monday January 13, 2014, from 3-7 p.m. And then on Tuesday January 14, from 10 a.m. till time of service at 11 a.m. at Giffin Park Church 280 East Main St., St. Clairsville, Ohio, with Rev. Mark Statler officiating, entombment at Holly Memorial Gardena Mausoleum Pleasant Grove. Full military graveside will be conducted by the Belmont Veterans Association. In lieu memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice 10686 St. Rt. 150 Rayland, Ohio 43943.
