Mary Charlton

CHARLTON, Mary Francis Strickler, 86, of Las Vegas, formerly of Windsor Heights, WV, died Friday, February 7, 2014 in Las Vegas.

She was born April 15, 1927 in Warrenton, OH, a daughter of the late William and Maude Webster Francis.

Mary was retired from Wheeling Hospital, was a member of Seniors Paradise and Exercise, Boudler Station, both in Las Vegas and a former member of the Windsor Heights Church of God.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Strickler; her second husband, Ernest F. Charlton; a daughter, Pamela Strickler; two brothers, Harry and William Francis; and a sister, Betty Francis.

Surviving are a son, Thomas Strickler, of Las Vegas; daughters, Darlene S. Strickler of Las Vegas, and Carol Thomas of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren, Brandon and Kyle Knezovich.

Friends will be received on Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St., Elm Grove, where services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Glen Baker, Jr. officiating.

Entombment will follow in Parkview Memorial Gardens, Wheeling.
