Robert Albert Sr.

ALBERT, Robert Lee Sr., 72, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on February 17, 2014 in Wheeling Hospital.

He was born May 16, 1941 in Wheeling, a son of the late Frank and Mary Cornett Albert.

He was a former Dept. Manager at Kroger’s and a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, Wheeling.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy J. Wurtzbacher Albert; three brothers, Francis, Paul and Donald Albert; two sisters, Rita Clyatt and Mary Kay Butler.

Surviving are three children, Robert L. (Josette) Albert Jr. of Dillonvale, OH; Nancy J. Albert of Wheeling; Charlotte (Dennis) Minch of Wheeling; two brothers, Jim Albert of Wheeling; Joe Albert of Knoxville, TN; six grandchildren, Donte, Brandon, Alexis, Teresa, Tracy and Kristen; significant other, Phyllis Bonsignore of McMechen, WV; several nieces and nephews.

Friends received 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St., Wheeling.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, February 21, 2014 at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, Wheeling, with Rev. John P. Mulcahy as celebrant.

Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
