DeBOLT, Robert “Bob” N., 74, of New Martinsville, WV, died Monday, February 17, 2014, at Wetzel County Hospital.
“Bob” was born January 7, 1940, in Fairview (Marion County), WV, son of the late Harold N. and Helen Folger DeBolt.
He was a retired lab tech for Bayer with 24 years of service, a 1959 graduate of James Ford Rhodes High School, graduated from Hayes Trade School in Cleveland, OH, co-owner of DeBolt Machine Co, and was a huge fan of the Cleveland Browns and NASCAR. He loved all animals, but had a special place in his heart for his horses, donkeys, dogs and cats. He loved fishing and country music and was a member of the Laurel Point United Methodist Church on Route 7.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Harold Lewis DeBolt and two brothers-in-law, Joe Myers and Bill Henthorn.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Laura Myers DeBolt; brother Kenneth (Brenda) DeBolt of Fairview, WV; four sisters-in-law: Ann DeBolt, Pat Myers, Louise Henthorn and French (June) Cozart; brother-in-law John (Shirley) Myers and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S. Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV, where service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014 with Pastor Don Rush officiating.
Interment to follow in the Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Hastings, WV.
