SANDERS, Rosemary, 74, of Follansbee, W.Va. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at her winter home in West Melbourne, Fla. surrounded by her family.

Due to the weather, friends will be received on Thursday, February 6th from 10 a.m. until the celebration of her life at 11 a.m. at the Colliers United Methodist Church in Colliers, W.Va. with Pastor Don Stilgenbauer officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Johns Cemetery in Colliers, W.Va.

Rosemary Sanders

SANDERS, Rosemary, 74, of Follansbee, WV, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at her winter home in West Melbourne, FL, surrounded by her family.

She was born on April 8, 1939, in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of the late Elmer Calissie and Mary (Saterides) Clements.

Rosemary graduated from Wheeling High School, received her B.S. from West Liberty University, and her Master’s from WVU. She retired from Brooke County Schools where she taught for many years at Follansbee Middle School, Wellsburg Central School and served as principal at Carver School. Rosemary was a member of the Colliers United Methodist Church and a member of the Fidelis Gamma Sorority.

She married the love of her life, Raymond Sanders on December 7, 1957, and spent 56 wonderful years together.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Rachelle (Larry) Bowman and Raymond (Johanna) Sanders both of Weirton, WV; one sister, Marlene (Lynn) Robertson of Weirton, WV; one step-granddaughter, Mara Bowman; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 4 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home, 669 Main St., Follansbee, WV.

Friends will then be received on Wednesday, February 5 from 10 a.m. until the celebration of her life at 11 a.m. at the Colliers United Methodist Church in Colliers, WV, with Pastor Don Stilgenbauer officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Johns Cemetery in Colliers, WV.
