OLDFIELD, C. “Don,” 75, of Moundsville died Saturday.

Visitation Mondy from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, Moundsville, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m.

OLDFIELD, C. “Don,” 75, of Fairmont Pike Rd., Moundsville, died Saturday, March 29, 2014 at home.

He was born July 27, 1938 in Captina, WV, the son of the late Charles William Oldfield and Madolyn Smith Oldfield Kimberly.

He was a retired operator from PPG Industries; a U.S. Marine veteran; a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church in Wheeling, where he served as a Sunday School teacher; NRA; Moundsville Rifle and Pistol Club; Archeological Society; and Friends of the Library in Moundsville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father George Kimberly.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Karen Barlow Oldfield; two sons, Charles Wayne (Joy) Oldfield of Akron, OH, Chet (Lacey) Oldfield of Zanesville, OH; a brother, Kenneth (Angie) Oldfield of Springfield, IL; five grandchildren, Amelia, Alana, Lexi, Carley, and Baby Oldfield; and a friend whom he considered a son, Edward Barricklow of St. Clairsville, OH.

Family will receive friends Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Benedict officiating.

Interment in Greenview Cemetery, Moundsville, where the Moundsville Honor Guard will conduct Military graveside services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Metropolitan Baptist Church, 3401 Chapline St., Wheeling, WV 26003.
