Jennie Pie’

PIE’, Jennie L., 58, of St. Clairsville, OH, formerly of Bellaire, OH, died Monday, March 24, 2014, at Liza’s Place supported by her loving family.

Jennie was born July 19, 1955, in Bellaire, OH, a daughter of L. Irene Phillips Tozzi and the late George D. Tozzi Sr.

She was retired from The Kroger Company after a 25 year career. She was the first female store manager in the Ohio Valley and was responsible for all training and installation on the new scanner registers through out the district. In addition to store management, she had responsibilities in human resources and merchandising. She was a founding member of A Special Wish Foundation and a member of St. John Catholic Church, Bellaire, OH.

Preceding her in death was her father, George D. Tozzi Sr., and a brother, George David Tozzi Jr.

Surviving are her mother, L. Irene Phillips Tozzi; a resident of St. Clairsville, OH; her husband, Thomas More Pie’ Sr.; two sons, Thomas More Pie’ Jr. and David Lafferty Pie’, both of St. Clairsville, OH, a sister, Nancy (Raymond) Foreman of St. Clairsville, OH; two cousins, Judith Millit, Dr. David Millit and many loving and caring friends.

Family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 441 37th St., Bellaire, OH.

Friends will then be received Friday, from 10 until time of Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 11 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, Bellaire, OH, with Fr. Daniel Heusel as Celebrant.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Belmont County Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Clairsville, OH.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Memphis, TN.

Vigil service will be held 7:45 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
