Margaret Hogan

HOGAN, Margaret B. (Peggy) died at her home in Boulder, CO on March 19, 2014.

Peggy was born in Wheeling, WV. on March 5, 1953, the daughter of William N. Hogan, Jr. and the late Mary Ann Hess.

In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by a sister Elizabeth S.(Liza) Gebhardt.

Peggy was educated in the Parochial school system and graduated from Mount de Chantal Visitation Academy, attended Bradford College, Haverhill, MA, and graduated from Bethany College, Bethany, WV. Peggy’s careers included her tenure as an employee recruiter in Boston and her work in real estate in New York City. She enjoyed skiing, tennis, theater, music, and film and was an avid traveler.

Peggy had a great sense of humor. She was a proud officer and board member of the Friends of Wheeling.

Surviving are her father William N. Hogan, Jr. (Susan), her siblings W. Neil Hogan III of Crestone, CO, Christina H.Hess of Belize, Central America and Wheeling, Jessica Brady Hogan of Kathmandu, Nepal and Crestone, CO, and Andrew P. Hogan (April) and their son, Thomas Price Hogan whom Peggy dearly loved.

She was very close to her friends, Jacqui Kelter, Bernie Morgan, and Susan Board and her special companions, Philmore, Max, and Heinz.

Memorial contributions may be made to Liza’s Place Valley Hospice, 308 Mount St. Joseph Rd., Wheeling or to the Friends of Wheeling, PO Box 889.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial mass on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 1225 National Road, Wheeling, WV.

Hess of Belize, Central America, and Wheeling, and Jessica Brady Hogan of Kathmandu, Nepal, and Crestone, CO.
