Margaret Miller

MILLER, Margaret, 94, of New Martinsville, WV, died Monday, March 10, 2014, in the Sistersville Center.

Mrs. Miller was born February 17, 1920, at Littleton, a daughter of the late Isaiah Gump and Edna Cosgray Gump.

Margaret was a home maker most of her life. However, many years ago she was a switchboard operator in Littleton before the dial system of today was invented.

She was a member of the Littleton Church of Christ for over 84 years.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, David and Connie Miller of New Martinsville, with whom she made her home; two grandchildren, David B. Miller of New Martinsville and Sandra Holt of Summerville, SC; two great- grandchildren, Jadyn Holt and Jaclyn Holt; one half-brother, Fred Gump of New Freeport, PA; and a half-sister, Norma June Stevens of Mannington.

Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd W. Miller; one granddaughter, Linda Miller; two sisters, Nellie McLaughlin and Bessie Jobes; five half-brothers, James Gump, Walter Gump, George Gump, Homer Gump, and Beryle Gump; and six half-sisters, Merlye Gump, Faye Gump, Jean Gump, Lenore Mae Gump, Virginia Hibbs, and Sandra Kay Johnson.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1 p.m. Thursday with Evangelist Dick Bartrug officiating. Interment will follow in the Thomas Cemetery at Ned, PA.
