Carl Ewusiak Jr.

EWUSIAK, Carl, Jr., 75, of Follansbee, WV, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at home.

He was born on March 5, 1939, in Follansbee, WV, a son of the late Carl and Anna (Pastrick) Ewusiak, Sr.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Ann Ewusiak.

Carl retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corporation where he worked as a general foreman in coal handling. He was a peacetime veteran of the Marines. Carl was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Steubenville, OH, and a member of the Wellsburg Elk’s Lodge. He had a true passion for following all of his grandsons in there various sporting events.

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Sandra L. (Milonovich) Ewusiak whom he married on May 12, 1962; two children, Carl Scott (Jennifer) Ewusiak of Colliers, WV, and Dawn Ewusiak of Follansbee, WV; two brothers, William “Bill” (Sharon) Ewusiak and John Ewusiak both of Follansbee, WV; one sister, Sandra (Gail) Ricketts of Follansbee, WV; three grandsons, Jessie Gambellin, Tyler and Joey Ewusiak

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 18th, from 5-8 p.m. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home, 669 Main St., Follansbee, WV where funeral liturgy of the Word will be held on Saturday, April 19th, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Timothy Huffman officiating.

Interment will be held privately at a later date in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Follansbee, WV.

Full military honors will be conducted by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
