Eleanor Kopczyk

KOPCZYK, Eleanor Owoc, 96, of Wheeling passed away Friday, April 11, 2014, at Bishop J. Hodges Continuous Care.

She was born September 5, 1917, in Wheeling, daughter of the late Alexander and Helen Owoc.

She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and a former Marsh Stogies employee.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Kopczyk; an infant daughter, Mary Ann; a brother, George Owoc; and sisters, Regina McCann, Angela Scanlon, Anna Catherine Spyra and Rose Keller.

She is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Machel of Wheeling; and several nieces, nephews, great- nieces, and great-nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at The Bishop’s Chapel in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
