RAY, Terry Lee “T-Ray,” 56, of Wheeling passed away April 2, 2014 with his loving family by his side.
He was born October 23, 1957, son of the late Jack Ray and Florence Green France.
Terry was a longtime employee of Oglebay Institute and currently Jebbia’s Market.
He worked hard and he played hard. An avid softball player since a young age, he loved the game. He loved playing, and watching; the field and the guys.
Terry’s most passionate thing was raising his beloved son, Tyler, whom he adored.
He also enjoyed fishing and watching those Steelers.
Terry had a heart of gold which proved up until the end. He donated his body to the WVU Human Gift Registry in hopes of helping to find a cure for cancer.
Terry was preceded in death by a sister, Sue McConnell, several uncles and a great nephew.
Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Mona; his beloved son Tyler; a daughter, Raychel Snodgrass; three grandchildren; a sister, Crystal France; stepdad James France; and several other relatives.
Terry will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
Friends are invited to a memorial gathering on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 3-5 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 3828 Jacob St., Wheeling, WV.
