FAHEY, William T. II, 64, of Weirton, WV passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, March 31, 2014.
He was born December 27, 1949 in Steubenville, OH, the son of the late William T. and Mildred K. Flood Fahey.
He was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Church. A graduate of The University of Notre Dame(1970) and Duke University School of Law (JD, 1973). Bill was currently a practicing attorney in his law firm located on Pennsylvania Avenue, Weirton, WV.
He has served for many years on the WV Supreme Court of Appeals District Character Committee, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney of Hancock County, City Solicitor of New Cumberland (1978-1988), WV, frequent Special Prosecuting Attorney in Brooke and Ohio County cases, past president of Weirton Rotary, American Quarter Horse Association, WV & American Trial Lawyers Associations, WV & American Bar Associations, Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are his children, daughter, Erin Spencer (Shannon) of Oakdale, PA; sons, William T. Fahey III (Autumn) of North Strabane Township, PA, Sean Fahey of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Amare Thomas Spencer, Alana Nicole Spencer, Liam James Fahey; sisters, Mary Fahey of Weirton, WV, Maura Murphy (Lester) of San Diego, CA; nephews, Richard Murphy (Sarah), Ryan Murphy (Marie), William Murphy.
There will be no visitation. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Mary Church, 200 Preston Avenue, Weirton, WV with Reverend Tony Thurston presiding.
Interment will follow at Holy Souls Catholic Cemetery, Campbell’s Run Road, Coraopolis, PA.
