Carla “GeeBee” Wojtasek, 73, of Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014, surrounded by her family in her home.
She was born in Mead Township, Belmont County, Ohio, on October 9, 1940, a daughter of the late James E. and Edith L. Hesson Stevens.
Carla was retired from the Petroplus Towers in Wheeling, West Virginia, where she was the building manager. She was a member of the St. John Catholic Church in Bellaire, Ohio a graduate of Bellaire High School and Scott Cosmetology.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry “Pap” Wojtasek on January 1, 2005; two brothers, Charles and Franklin Stevens and three sisters, Charlene Brescia, Eva Krempasky and Betty Solomon.
Surviving are her children, Lisa (Terry) Dusz of Martins Ferry, Ohio, Henry (Suzanne) Wojtasek of Farmington, Ohio and Scott (Jennifer) Wojtasek of Wheeling, West Virginia. Also six grandchildren, Jessica, Christine, Danielle, Dalton, Brittany and Kayla and one great-grandson, Henry “Squeak” Wojtasek.
There will be no formal public visitation; graveside services and entombment will be held at the convenience of the family at Holly Memorial Gardens with Fr. Daniel Heusel officiating.
