Nora “Jacqueline” Hunt, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Friday, May 2, 2014, in Liza’s Place, Valley Hospice Care Center South, Wheeling.

Jacqueline was born in Wheeling, a daughter of the late Elmer Fredrick and Ann (Heffron) Diehl. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Wheeling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Roy Dale Hunt; by her three brothers, Charles (Wanda) Diehl, Thomas Diehl and John (Patricia) Diehl; four sisters, Mary (Joe) Swanek, Anna (Bud) Kohler, Catherine Diehl and Agnes (John) Miller; a son-in-law, Pat Phemester; and a brother-in-law, Robert Hunt.

Jacqueline is survived by her five daughters, Lois A. (Larry) Leonard of Wheeling, Nora Phemester of Shadyside, Ohio, Denise Jones of McMechen, WV, Mary Susan (Paul) Parsons of Wheeling and Kathleen (Michael) Swayngim of Benwood, WV.; a sister, Dolores (Daniel) Grzebien of Parkville, Md.; a sister-in-law, Vern Hunt of New Martinsville, W.Va.; grandchildren, Kimberly and Thomas Caldwell, Megan, Patrick and Aaron Phemester, Jay, Jenna and Ryan Jones, Corey and Adam Parsons, and Rachael Swayngim; great-grandsons, Aiden, Brenden, Ian and Owen Ueltschey; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday, May 5, 2014, at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling. Mass of Christian Burial will then be celebrated 1 p.m. Monday, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Wheeling, with Rev. Richard Shoda as celebrant. Interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
