Orpah Lucille Bavin Shuman, 93, of Wheeling passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014.

She was born August 7, 1920, daughter of the late Andrew and Anna Bavin.

She was a member of Roney’s Point United Presbyterian Church.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Beyrl Shuman; four sisters, Olive Hickman, Colleen Fortney, Doris Dunn, and Millicent Bavin; and a niece who took great care of Mrs. Shuman, Christine Wood.

She is survived by a son, Douglas (Patty) Shuman of Parkersburg, WV. One granddaughter, Darcie Skrzycki (Dennis), Pittsburgh, Pa. One grandson, Eric Shuman (Sabrina), of Parkersburg WV. And three great-grandsons, Walker Ford, Turner and Kolsen Shuman. Special thanks to Dr. Mercer and the staff at Good Shepherd Nursing Home.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at 2 p.m. in West Alexander Cemetery. Arrangements by Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling (304-242-2311).
