RYAN McGEE

Ryan Patrick McGee, 27, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV.

He was born in Wheeling, WV, June 16, 1986, son of Mark J. and Kathleen E. Kulpa McGee.

Ryan graduated Magna Cum Laude from the WVU School of Business and Economics in 2008. He was employed at W.A. Wilson, and was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Wheeling, WV.

He loved working out, especially playing basketball, and he was a huge Mountaineer Fan.

Ryan loved spending time with his niece, Sophie “Tootie,” and he will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Walter and Wanda Kulpa, and his paternal grandfather, Vincent James McGee.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Amanda Marie Pletcher and her husband, Nathan; paternal grandmother, Kathryn McGee; niece, Sophie Elizabeth “Tootie” Pletcher; aunts and uncles, Mary and Greg Johnson and son, Andrew; Dan and Samantha McGee; Jane and Fred Mueller and children, Michael and Luke; Jason and Deanna McGee and children, Kathryn and Kennedy; Lora Kocipan and her deceased husband, Andrew and children, Jason and Michael; and Christopher and Sondra Kulpa and children, Chad and Christian.

Friends will be received from 2-6 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2014, at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger Street, Elm Grove, Wheeling (304-242-2311).

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 30, 2014, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 2 Allendale Road, Wheeling, with Fr. Dennis Schuelkens, Jr. as celebrant.

Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Ryan McGee to the Ohio Valley Recovery Unity Center, 2314 Chapline Street, Wheeling, WV 26003.
