Charles Russell Nash, 80, of Wheeling, WV, died Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at his home.

He was born February 17, 1934, in Triadelphia, WV, the son of the late Charles M. and Leda Mabel Catlett Nash.

Mr. Nash was a retired truck driver and a mechanic, a member of the Ye Olde Country Church on Peters Run Road, Wheeling, and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a graduate of the former McKinley Vocational High School in Wheeling.

Mr. Nash was a jack of all trades, an amateur ham radio operator and instructor; loved playing horseshoes, making model airplanes and was a member of the Marshall County Horseshoe Club. He played the harmonica and was an avid hunter, fisherman and had a great love for his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-mother, Margaret Hieronimus Nash; a son, Daniel Russell Nash; a sister, Jane Hough and his beloved dog, Penny.

Surviving are his loving wife, Mary Ann Derr Nash, and on April 23, 2014, they celebrated their 59th anniversry; five children, Catherine L. Nash of Richmond, VA, Bonnie J. Nash of Moundsville, WV, Joan E. Nash of Wheeling, WV and Darren D. Nash and his wife, Lisa of Richmond, VA and Charles D. Nash and fiancee, Amy Love of Wheeling; brothers and sisters, Evelyn Munson of Cochranville, PA, George Nash of Cummings, GA, Shirley Nash of TX, Ronald Nash of AZ and David Nash of Triadelphia, WV; two granddaughters; six grandsons; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2014, at the Kepner Funeral home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling, WV, with the Reverend Gary Scott officiating.

Interment will be held at the conveniences of the family in Sand Hill Cemetery, Sand Hill, WV.
