DALE WINKLER

Dale Ross Winkler, 95, of Wheeling, WV, died Monday, June 23, 2014 in Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling.

He was born February 19, 1919 in Wheeling, WV the son of the late George and Hazel Tustin Winkler.

Mr. Winkler was a retired cashier for the Waterford Park and Wheeling Downs and was a Christian by faith. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Bethlehem Chapel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Winkler, an infant brother, Kenneth; two sisters, Dorothy Bugaj and Martha Jane Sonnefeld.

Surviving are his wife, Anna Mary McCoy Winkler; a son, Michael D. Winkler and his wife, Elizabeth of Bluffton, S.C.; a daughter, Carol A. Marvin and her husband, Tony of St. Clairsville, OH; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at the Kepner Funeral Home, 1308 Chapline St., Wheeling (304-232-5110) where service will be held on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Mark A. Zelewicz, Sr. officiating.

Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Moundsville Honor Guard.
