RAYMOND MINTER

Raymond C. Minter, 87, of Wheeling, WV, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014, in Liza’s Place.

He was born February 20, 1927, in Clarksburg, WV, a son of the late William and Dolly Spencer Minter.

He was a retired foreman at American Electric Power and a Navy veteran of WWII.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant son, Russell; one sister, Regent Cisar; a step-son, Kim Young.

Surviving is his loving wife of 48 years, Henrietta “Cookie” Trembecki Minter; three children, Steve (Sandy) Minter of West Liberty, WV, Walter (Louise) Minter of Altoona, PA, Constance (Jim) Proggi of Triadelphia, WV; two step-daughters, Belinda (Jeff) Smith of Murrells Inlet, SC; Denise (Eric) Ridgeway of Thurmont, Md; a brother- in-law, Paul Cisar of McMechen, WV; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one niece.

Over the years, Ray and Cookie went to Florida every winter.

Ray also enjoyed fishing in Canada with his sons, went to Alaska with his good friend Paul Winters and enjoyed watching WV Mountaineer football and basketball.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St., Wheeling, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2014, with Rev. Carl V. Tribett officiating.

Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
