STELLA DVORAK

Stella Helen Dvorak, 85, of St. Albans, WV, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2014.

Stella was born in McMechen, WV, on May 19, 1929, to the late Joseph and Agatha Grombka.

Stella was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Stella was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, George Dvorak, who passed away February 16, 2014; a sister, Jennie Husek, and brothers Joseph Grombka and Walter Grombka.

Stella is survived by son Thomas Dvorak and wife Connie of Dayton, Ohio, son Timothy Dvorak and wife Denise of Croton-on-Hudson, New York, and daughter Angela Ware of Huntington, WV. Her surviving grandchildren include, Christopher Dvorak (Fern), Juliana Buschagen

(Adam) , Neil Dvorak, Lauren Ware, Gregory Dvorak, Adam Ware, Andre’ and Oliver Dvorak, also great- grandchildren Marie Miller, James Miller and Paul Dvorak.

Stella was an active member of Blessed Sacrament Parish in South Charleston, WV, serving as lector, collection counter,and bereavement committee member.

Stella was a devoted volunteer to the Good Shepherd Mission in Coalburg, WV. She was also a loyal contributor for 20 years to the ” Hears to You” radio program at the Cultural Center in Charleston, WV, reading to both visually and physically impaired listeners.

Visitation with the family will take place at Blessed Sacrament Church, 305 E Street, South Charleston, WV, on Monday June 30, 2014 from 10a.m.-noon. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at noon with Father John Finnell as celebrant.

The family would like to thank Midland Meadows Assisted Living in Ona, WV, for their professional and tender care of Stella these past months, and her Blessed Sacrament Parish family for their devoted support.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, 3100 Staunton Road, Huntington, WV, 25702.
